Started in 2019, the annual housing forum shares information and best practices regarding housing in Chester County. Topics addressed include the need for affordably priced housing, the A+ Homes initiative, housing for an aging population, and more.

November 17, 19, and 18, 2020

The 2020 A+ Homes Forum was held on Tuesday, November 17 and Thursday, November 19. The forum took part in two sessions, with the first discussing housing for an aging population, and the second discussing housing construction costs.

Housing Options Task Force — Summary and Action Plan

The task force was created to support the goals, objectives, and policies of the Landscapes2 Plan for housing and achieve implementation of the plan actions through partnership efforts between the private, public, and non-profit sectors. The Summary and Action Plan reflects the recommendations and findings of the Housing Options Task Force. Actions are presented under five goals, including education and advocacy, information, partnerships, infrastructure and regulation. Together, these actions can champion diversified housing choices in Chester County.

Housing and Transportation Options for Southern Chester County

In Landscapes2, housing access and affordably was identified as a major issue, specifically for Latino workers primarily empleyd within the mushorrom industry in the southern part of the county. In response to this and other concerns, CCPC conducted a study of the housing, transportation, and employment scenario of low-wage Latino workers and fixed-income senior citizens in the southern Chester County.
