Chester County Projects Awarded Nearly $1 Million in DVRPC Funding

Five Chester County projects have been selected to receive nearly $1 million in funding through two Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) programs.

At their June 25 meeting, the DVRPC Board approved project awards for the Transportation and Community Development Initiative (TCDI) and Regional Trails Program.

The TCDI Program received 21 applications requesting a total of $3.14 million in funding, with nine projects selected to receive a combined $1.4 million. Three Chester County projects were among the recipients:

The Regional Trails Program received 43 applications from Pennsylvania and New Jersey requesting a total of $11.44 million. Seventeen projects were selected to receive a combined $4.5 million, including 12 projects in Pennsylvania and 5 in New Jersey.

In total, Chester County projects were awarded $975,000 to support transportation planning, community development, mobility improvements, and trail connections.
